The Edinburgh Aerial & Acro Convention is a non profit event created with the Edinburgh University Gymnastics Club to introduce new people to acrobatic and circus arts and to introduce existing practitioners to new disciplines. It is one of the largest conventions teaching aerial arts and acrobalance in the world. Last year saw nearly 200 people coming to train for the weekend with some of the worlds best teachers. The EAAC gets larger each year as interest grows and we teach more arts from beginner to expert level. We have a great line up this year including Static Trapeze, Doubles Trapeze, Silks, Rope, Tightwire, Tumbling, Acrobalance, Hoop, Spanish web, Chinese Pole and that's just the teachers we have lined up at the moment. There will be an opportunity to train in some new and unique aerial and acrobatic arts once we figure out how to rig them! Each year we have an early bird discount ticket price of 50% for those who book in advance before July 31st. We would also welcome some help from you! We will need volunteers, riggers, helpers, and enthusiastic people to spread the word. We are now totally reliant on attendees so the more people who book, the more teachers and new arts will be there for the weekend. We will give regular updates on teachers, new arts and workshops on the run up to this years event and we will release the timetable where you can reserve your place for individual workshops in advance. Some of the workshops we are offering are teaching several rare circus arts such as bungee trapeze and teeterboard where there will not be sufficient places for everyone for each of these rarer arts, these asre available on a first come first served basis as always and we ask you not to book more than one place each.
